Regular Season Round 4: Mazeikiai - Delikatesas 86-81

Round 4 in NKL means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Mazeikiai where host Mazeikiai (1-3) beat league's leader Delikatesas (3-1) 86-81 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Delikatesas. Delikatesas was trailing by 12 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 27-19 charge of Mazeikiai, which allowed them to win the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American guard Parrish Brown (185-84, college: Maryland, agency: Hightower Law Firm) fired 19 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Forward Janas Jurgo (200-83) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Vidmantas Uzkuraitis (189-85) produced 23 points and 5 rebounds and guard Aivaras Kvedaravicius (184-88) added 19 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Mazeikiai left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Delikatesas at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Radviliskis who have the same record. Delikatesas will play next round against Ezerunas-Karys trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Mazeikiai will try to continue on its current victory against sixteenth ranked Triobet in Jonava.
