Regular Season Round 4: Mykolaiv - Halychyna 89-95

Halychyna has registered their first victory this season after five consecutive loses. The win is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Mykolaiv (2-3)on the road game in Mykolaiv 95-89. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 28-18. But Mykolaiv won third quarter 26-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by Serbian-FYR Macedonian forward Nenad Zivcevic (204-87) who scored that evening 21 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Lans Harris (195-83, college: Kansas St.) supported him with 22 points and 7 rebounds. Even 22 points by American swingman Rodney Green (195-88, college: La Salle) did not help to save the game for Mykolaiv. His fellow American import center Daniel McClintock (212-77, college: N.Arizona) added 18 points for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Halychyna maintains twelfth position with 1-5 record. It was Mykolaiv's third loss in a row. They dropped to the ninth place with three games lost. Halychyna will play against bottom-ranked Kryvbasbasket (#14) in Krivoy Rog in the next round. Mykolaiv will have a break next round.
