DniproAzot (#11) forced the game against BC Donetsk (#8) into an overtime, but lost by ten points 112-122 on Sunday night. The game took place in Dniprodzerzhynsk. But the guests from Donetsk were better at the end. The guests trailed by 12 points after three quarters before their 33-21 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 10-point victory in overtime. BC Donetsk outrebounded DniproAzot 45-34 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. DniproAzot was plagued by 38 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Michael Lee (207-86) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and Serbian forward Ivan Radenovic (208-84, college: Arizona) who added 14 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side Filipino-American point guard Stanley Pringle (184-87, college: Penn St.) responded with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and the former international guard Maxim Balashov (190-80) scored 20 points and 5 assists. Five BC Donetsk and four DniproAzot players scored in double figures. DniproAzot's coach Igor Chigrinov let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. BC Donetsk (2-2) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with BC Odessa and BC Kyiv. Loser DniproAzot keeps the eleventh position with four games lost. BC Donetsk will have a break next round. DniproAzot will play on the road against the league's leader Hoverla (#1) in Frankivsk.
