Regular Season Round 6: Stahnsdorf - Dorsten 82-100
Date: October 18, 2011
We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Stahnsdorf where 6th ranked RSV Eintracht (3-3) was defeated by seventh ranked Dorsten (3-2) 100-82. The game was mostly controlled by Dorsten. RSV Eintracht was better in third quarter 24-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Dorsten shot 60.3 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Dorsten especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.1 percentage. American center Blake Poole (195-88, college: St.Martin's, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and naturalized Albanian guard Nderim Pelaj (179-88) supported him with 27 points. Four Dorsten players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds by power forward Yannick Evans (202-86) did not help to save the game for RSV Eintracht. American forward Kellen Williams (194-84, college: E.Washington, agency: Dynamics Global Management) added 23 points and 10 rebounds. Dorsten moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Herten. RSV Eintracht at the other side dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. Dorsten's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Hannover Tigers in Hannover and it may be quite challenging game. RSV Eintracht will play on the road against ALBA Berlin II (#11).
