Another exciting game was played in Burgas between leader Beroe 07 and bottom-ranked Neftochimic where Beroe 07 (1-0) beat Neftochimic (0-1) on the road 84-72. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game without a history. Beroe 07 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Beroe 07 outrebounded Neftochimic 45-26 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Vera Perostiyska (196-82, college: FIU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 21 rebounds. Forward Ralitsa Naneva (178-86) contributed with 23 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Beroe 07 players scored in double figures. Ukrainian guard Olga Dubrovina (170-87, agency: LBM Management) answered with 32 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and international forward Maria Zhelyazkova (181-86, agency: Promotex) added 13 points in the effort for Neftochimic. Despite that victory Beroe 07 went down to first position due to points difference, which they share with Rilski Sportist and Dunav 8806. Defending champion Neftochimic still closes the standings with one game lost. They share the position with Levski and Slavia. Beroe 07 will play against Levski (#5) in Sofia in the next round. Neftochimic will play on the road against Slavia in Sofia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
