Very expected game when 13th ranked Otopeni (1-3) was crushed at home by seventh ranked Timisoara (3-1) 89-70. The game was mostly controlled by Timisoara. Otopeni was better in second period 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for Montenegrin guard Branko Cuic (197-78, agency: 011 Sports) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!). Serbian-German forward Robert Sarovic (205-78, agency: 011 Sports) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Timisoara's coach Predrag Badnjarevic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Bosnian center Vladan Jocovic (211-82) replied with 17 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian guard Slobodan Popovic (198-80, agency: BeoExcell) added 15 points in the effort for Otopeni. Five Timisoara and four Otopeni players scored in double figures. Timisoara moved-up to second place, which they share with Oradea and Craiova. Otopeni lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with three games lost. Timisoara's next round opponent will be Giurgiu (#5) at home. Otopeni will play against CSM Bucuresti (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
