Regular Season Round 5: Radviliskis - Meresta 80-76

NKL top team - Radviliskis (4-1) added another victory to their record. This time they beat fifteenth ranked Meresta (1-4) 80-76. It looked good early as Meresta took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Radviliskis had a 22-12 second period charge getting the lead and Meresta was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 76-80. Guard Lukas Pipiras (192-89) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and center Juozas Ramanauskas (207-85) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four Radviliskis players scored in double figures. Guard Liudas Radavicius (188-88) responded with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Audrius Maneikis (203-84, college: Motlow St. CC) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Radviliskis have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 4-1 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Meresta at the other side dropped to the bottom position with four games lost. They share it with Mazeikiai and ABRO-Univ.. Radviliskis will play against LKKA-Atletas (#13) in Kaunas in the next round which should be an easy win for them.
