Regular Season Round 7: BSW Sixers - Fraport SKY II 80-70

ProB top team - BSW Sixers (5-1) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat eleventh ranked Fraport Skyliners II (1-5) in Sandersdorf 80-70. Fraport Skyliners II was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. They outrebounded Fraport Skyliners II 43-24 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for forward Frieder Diestelhorst (201-87, agency: Limelight Hoops) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 9 rebounds. American forward Aaron Fleetwood (206-84, college: Delaware St., agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. BSW Sixers' coach Stephen Arigbabu used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Demetrius Jemison (203, college: Manhattan) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import guard Larry Wright (187-87, college: Oakland) added 22 points (made all of his nine free throws !!!) in the effort for Fraport Skyliners II. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for BSW Sixers. Newly promoted BSW Sixers maintains first place in Group South with 5-1 record, which they share with Leipzig and Noerdlingen. Fraport Skyliners II lost their third game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with five games lost. BSW Sixers will face BG Illertal/Weissenhorn (#12) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Fraport Skyliners II will play against Licher Baeren.
