Regular Season Round 2: Rogaska - Parklji 72-69

A very interesting game took place in Rogaska Slatina. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of bottom-ranked Parklji (0-2) to tenth ranked Rogaska (1-1) 72-69 on Saturday evening. The hosts were ahead by 10 points but lost the second period ending it with a 2-point deficit before their 20-15 run, which allowed them to win the game. Guard Nejc Strnad (190-83) notched 15 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and Serbian power forward Milos Miljkovic (204-84) supported him with 5 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Rogaska's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 24 points and 11 rebounds by Bosnian center Esmir Rizvic (213-82, college: Texas Tech) did not help to save the game for Parklji. Guard Klemen Lorbek (198-88) added 14 points for the guests. Rogaska left bottom position moving up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Parklji at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. Rogaska's next round opponent will be Polzela (#4) on the road. Parklji will play against Zlatorog (#3) in Lasko.
