Regular Season Round 5: Goettingen - TBB Trier 60-71

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both sixteenth ranked TBB Trier and 14th ranked BG Goettingen had identical 1-3 record. But BG Goettingen was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Trier 71-60 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by TBB Trier. BG Goettingen was better in third quarter 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding BG Goettingen to just 7 points in first quarter. TBB Trier had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. BG Goettingen's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. TBB Trier (2-3) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 4 other teams. BG Goettingen lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fifteenth position with four games lost. TBB Trier will face BBC Bayreuth (#15) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. BG Goettingen will play against LTi 46ers in Giessen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
