The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Lukoil Academik as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Lukoil Academik defeated second-ranked Levski Sofia at home 80-72. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game.
