Undefeated Hannover Tigers (4-1) recorded its first loss on the court of fifth ranked Dorsten. Visitors were defeated by Dorsten 90-83. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Hannover Tigers. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Hannover Tigers won fourth quarter 22-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Dorsten made 24-of-25 charity shots (96.0 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American center Blake Poole (195-88, college: St.Martin's, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). His fellow American import guard Terry Bryant (186-85, college: SE Louisiana) helped adding 25 points and 4 assists. At the losing side Canadian forward Jacob Doerksen (200-87, agency: Interperformances) responded with 25 points (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and American guard Richard Williams (178-87, college: San Diego St.) scored 18 points, 7 assists and 6 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Dorsten (4-2) moved-up to fourth place in Group North, which they share with Herten and Vechta. Hannover Tigers at the other side dropped to the third position with one game lost. Dorsten will play against Herzoege Wolfenbuettel (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Hannover Tigers will play against SG Schwelmer Baskets (#8) and hope to get back on the winning track.
