Regular Season Round 4: Aistes-LSU - Fortuna 73-60

There was a change at the LMKL leadership position after last games. Round 4 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Lemminkainen (2-2). They were defeated by second ranked LKKA-Aistes (3-1) 73-60 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 39-23 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. 29 personal fouls committed by Lemminkainen helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Jolanta Marmiene (181-79) who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Kornelija Balciunaite (176-81) who added 10 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Four LKKA-Aistes players scored in double figures. LKKA-Aistes' coach Ricardas Maceina used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. LKKA-Aistes have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Lemminkainen at the other side dropped to the third place with two games lost. They share the position with Sirenos. They were replaced at the leadership position by LKKA-Aistes. Lemminkainen will play next round against Utena trying to make it back to the top of the standings. LKKA-Aistes will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Suduva in Marijampole.
