The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Lietuvos rytas as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Lietuvos rytas defeated 7th ranked Baltai Kaunas in Vilnius 83-66. The game was mostly controlled by Lietuvos rytas. Baltai Kaunas managed to win second period 25-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. At the losing side Croatian power forward Mario Delas (207-90) responded with 18 points and guard Zygimantas Janavicius (192-89, agency: Interperformances) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Lietuvos rytas have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with 3 other teams. Baltai Kaunas at the other side keeps the seventh place with three games lost. They share the position with Pieno Zvaigzdes.
