The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Vestel (3-1) in Manisa on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Selcuk Universitesi (3-1) in overtime 86-78. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Vestel. The guests trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game in overtime by 8 points. Selcuk Universitesi dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Vestel's 28. They outrebounded Vestel 42-25 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. At the losing side forward Hadi Ozdemir (203-83) responded with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and center Umut Yenice (209-79, agency: EM-PA) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four Vestel players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Selcuk Universitesi moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Vestel. Selcuk Universitesi is looking forward to face TED Istanbul (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Vestel will play against Istanbul B.B.
