There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Ezerunas-Karys (3-4) was rolled over on the road by twelfth ranked S.Marciulionio (3-4) 81-62 on Friday. The game without a history. S.Marciulionio led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. S.Marciulionio outrebounded Ezerunas-Karys 45-32 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for forward Tomas Lekunas (195-93) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Osvaldas Olisevicius (196-93) helped adding 13 points and 9 rebounds. Four S.Marciulionio players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Raimondas Ambrulaitis (199-82) responded with 7 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Gytis Andrijauskas (187-86) scored 16 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. S.Marciulionio moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Ezerunas-Karys and Triobet. S.Marciulionio will meet Gargzdai-Bremena (#13) on the road in the next round. Ezerunas-Karys will play against Silute and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
