There was no surprise when 13th ranked Mazeikiai (2-5) was defeated on the road by third ranked Radviliskis (5-2) 79-61 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Radviliskis. Mazeikiai managed to win second period 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for forward Audrius Mineikis (201-77) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds. Guard Tomas Rakauskas (184-81) helped adding 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Radviliskis players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Parrish Brown (185-84, college: Maryland, agency: Hightower Law Firm) responded with 15 points and 8 assists and forward Janas Jurgo (200-83) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Radviliskis moved-up to second place, which they share with Zalgiris-Sabonio and Statyba. Loser Mazeikiai keeps the thirteenth position with five games lost. They share it with Gargzdai. Radviliskis will meet Nafta Universitetas (#5) in the next round. Mazeikiai will play against Perlas-MRU (#7) in Vilnius and hope to secure a win.
