There was no surprise in Paderborn where 10th ranked BV Chemnitz 99 (3-4) was defeated by third ranked Webmoebel Baskets (5-1) 93-81 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Webmoebel Baskets. BV Chemnitz 99 was better in fourth quarter 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Webmoebel Baskets looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. BV Chemnitz 99 was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The game was dominated by American players. Swingman Justin Stommes (200-88, college: E.Kentucky, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) fired 28 points and 4 steals (perfect behind the arc making all five shots) for the winners. Guard Jefferson Mason (198-88, college: Minn.St.-Mankato, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds.
