Round 6 in 1.Bundesliga means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Wuerzburg where host s Oliver Baskets (4-2) beat league's leader Telekom Baskets (5-1) 71-61 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Telekom Baskets. The game was mostly controlled by s Oliver Baskets. Telekom Baskets managed to win third quarter 23-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when s Oliver Baskets won last quarter 21-13. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was point guard John Little (180-84, college: N.Iowa) who scored 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Chris Kramer (191-88, college: Purdue) chipped in 14 points. Little is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. s Oliver Baskets' coach John Patrick used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was center Chris Ensminger (209-73, college: Valparaiso, agency: Limelight Hoops) who recorded 13 points and 8 rebounds and forward Tony Gaffney (204-84, college: Massachusetts) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Four Telekom Baskets players scored in double figures. s Oliver Baskets moved-up to fourth place, which they share with B.Muenchen and Bremerhaven. Telekom Baskets at the other side dropped to the second position with one game lost. They share it with Ratiopharm. They were replaced at the leadership position by Brose Baskets. Telekom Baskets will play next round against BG Goettingen trying to make it back to the top of the standings. s Oliver Baskets will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked ratiopharm Ulm at home.
