There was no surprise when 15th ranked BBC Bayreuth (1-5) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked TBB Trier (3-3) 68-62 on Saturday. BBC Bayreuth trailed by 15 points after 3 quarters before a 19-10 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 62-68 at the end of the game. BBC Bayreuth was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American forward Nate Linhart (201-86, college: Akron) who scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. The former international center Maik Zirbes (205-90) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Linhart is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Brandon Hunter (201-80, college: Ohio) who recorded 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import guard Danny Gibson (180-84, college: S.Indiana, agency: Limelight Hoops) added 10 points respectively.
