Regular Season Round 6: Triglav Strazisce - Litija 81-65

Bottom-ranked Litija is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to second ranked Triglav Strazisce (5-1) 81-65 on Saturday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Triglav Strazisce. Litija managed to win fourth quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Triglav Strazisce dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Litija's 32. They outrebounded Litija 28-14 including a 22-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Matic Korosec (194-89) notched 18 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Boris Jersin (183-85, agency: Interperformances) supported him with 8 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. Even 16 points and 4 assists by point guard Klemen Panic (180-91) did not help to save the game for Litija. Center Crt Lipovsek (194-88) added 13 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Triglav Strazisce keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Sencur CP. Loser Litija still closes the standings with five games lost. Triglav Strazisce will meet Radenska (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Litija will play against Grosuplje (#3) in Grosuplje and hopes to get finally their first victory.
