Undefeated leader Lietuvos rytas delivered the fifth consecutive victory. This time they crushed 5th ranked Neptunas (2-2) 90-65 in Vilnius. The game without a history. Lietuvos rytas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 27-of-33 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Lietuvos rytas forced 19 Neptunas turnovers and outrebounded them 37-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. Neptunas was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. International center Jonas Valanciunas (210-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 8 rebounds. The former international swingman Steponas Babrauskas (197-84) contributed with 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Martynas Mazeika (193-85, agency: Limelight Hoops) answered with 15 points and American forward Arinze Onuaku (206-87, college: Syracuse) added 6 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Neptunas. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lietuvos rytas (5-0) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with a perfect record of 5 victories in a row, which they share with Siauliai and Rudupis.
