No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Turk Telekom (3-1) defeated on the road 9th ranked Karsiyaka (1-3) 110-98 on Friday. Karsiyaka was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 35-19 charge of Turk Telekom, which allowed them to win the game. They shot 60.3 percent from the field and made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Turk Telekom especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Karsiyaka was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. FYR Macedonian-American guard Darius Washington (188-85, college: Memphis) fired 24 points and 9 assists for the winners. American forward Ali Karadeniz (203-80, college: Arizona) chipped in 27 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Mire Chatman (187-78, college: UTPA, agency: Higher Vision Sports) produced 37 points (!!!) and 9 assists and forward Ilkan Karaman (205-90, agency: Beo Basket) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Turk Telekom moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Karsiyaka lost third consecutive game.
