The game in Utena supposed to be also worth to mention about. Leader Siauliai (5-0) played at the court of 5th ranked Juventus (2-3). Siauliai smashed Juventus 97-73. The game was mostly controlled by Siauliai. Juventus was better in third quarter 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Siauliai players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Juventus' players. American-Samoan point guard Rashaun Broadus (183-84, college: BYU) nailed 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and the former international forward Valdas Vasylius (203-83, college: ODU) accounted for 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Siauliai's coach Antanas Sireika felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international point guard Gediminas Maceina (188-84) came up with 19 points and the former international guard Darius Pakamanis (192-81) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Juventus in the defeat. Five Siauliai and four Juventus players scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Siauliai. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Lietuvos rytas and Rudupis. Juventus at the other side dropped to the sixth place with three games lost. Siauliai's next round opponent will be league's leader Lietuvos rytas in Vilnius and it will be for sure the game of the week. Juventus will play on the road against Techasas (#11) in Panevezys.
