Regular Season Round 10: BSW Sixers - Dragons 79-56

Very expected game when 5th ranked Dragons Rhoendorf (4-3) was smashed by first ranked BSW Sixers (7-1) in Sandersdorf 79-56 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by BSW Sixers. Dragons Rhoendorf was better in second period 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Dragons Rhoendorf to just 5 points in fourth quarter. It was a very good performance for American forward Aaron Fleetwood (206-84, college: Delaware St., agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Sascha Ahnsehl (186-86) contributed with 18 points for the winners. American forward Earnest Jones (198-85, college: Southern) replied with 19 points and 8 rebounds and guard Nick Larsen (187-83) added 5 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Dragons Rhoendorf. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. BSW Sixers have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Newly promoted BSW Sixers maintains first position in Group South with 7-1 record, which they share with Leipzig. Loser Dragons Rhoendorf keeps the fifth place with three games lost. BSW Sixers will face TSV Troester (#9) in Breitenguessbach in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Dragons Rhoendorf will play at home against Licher Baeren (#8).
