There was no surprise in Ankara where 14th ranked Tire Gucu (2-4) was crushed by top-ranked Genc Telekom (6-0) 97-69 on Saturday. The game without a history. Genc Telekom led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was forward Mustafa Goerur (204-88) who scored 27 points and 9 rebounds. Croatian power forward Nenad Delic (210-84, agency: TSS Management) chipped in 19 points. Four Genc Telekom players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Tyrus Boswell (202-78, college: Ky Wesleyan, agency: EM-PA) who recorded 19 points and 7 rebounds and guard Cemal Bayraktar (184-82, agency: 1x1 Sports) added 11 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Genc Telekom have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Akhisar Bld. Tire Gucu at the other side dropped to the thirteenth place with four games lost. Genc Telekom will face Istanbulspor (#19) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Tire Gucu will play against Gaziantep (#10).
