Regular Season Round 10: Statyba - Radviliskis 87-100

The biggest surprise of round 10 in NKL was guest Radviliskis' (#2) road victory over Statyba (#3) 100-87 on Saturday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Radviliskis. Statyba managed to win second period 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Radviliskis shot 62.1 percent from the field. Radviliskis outrebounded Statyba 33-20 including 20 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. Forward Audrius Mineikis (201-77) fired 34 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all thirteen shots !!!) for the winners. Guard Tomas Rakauskas (184-81) chipped in 25 points and 4 assists. Forward Lukas Kazlauskas (188-92) produced 18 points and guard Ovidijus Varanauskas (187-91) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Radviliskis maintains second position with 7-3 record behind leader Delikatesas. Statyba at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. Radviliskis are looking forward to face bottom-ranked ABRO-Universitetas (#16) in Siauliai in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Statyba will play on the road against Meresta (#12) in Pakruojis and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
