Regular Season Round 4: Chernomorets - Tundja Yambol 76-93

Another interesting game for Tundja Yambol (2-2) which played in Burgas against 5th ranked Chernomorets (1-3). Eighth ranked Tundja Yambol had an easy win 93-76. The game was mostly controlled by Tundja Yambol. Chernomorets was better in fourth quarter 30-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Chernomorets 40-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Tundja Yambol especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.7 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Martin Durchev (200-87) who helped to win the game recording 32 points and American center John Ofoegbu (206-84, college: Idaho St.) who added 19 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international forward Atanas Penev (195-85) responded with 17 points and 4 assists and FYR Macedonian center Kiril Pavlovski (210-85, agency: Global Sports Plaza) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tundja Yambol moved-up to third place, which they share with Cherno More and Rilski Sportist. Chernomorets lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with Spartak Pleven and Balkan. Tundja Yambol will play against league's leader Lukoil Academik in Sofia in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Chernomorets will play on the road against the league's second-placed Levski Sofia (#2) to get more than just one victory in their record.
