Regular Season Round 3: Alges - Angra 94-68

An interesting game for Alges (3-0) which hosted in Alges 3rd placed Angrabasket (1-2). Leader Alges had an easy win 94-68. The game without a history. Alges led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Angrabasket's 34. They outrebounded Angrabasket 42-25 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American forward DeSean White (203-86, college: Northwood Fl.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Angolan forward Sergio Correia (197-85) helped adding 27 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Alges' coach Mario Silva felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American power forward Terrence Mack (198-84, college: Rhode Island) with 20 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Drew Gibson (188-85, college: Wofford) scored 17 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Alges have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 3-0 record, which they share with Illiabum. Angrabasket at the other side dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. They share it with 5 other teams. Alges will play against Guifoes (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Angrabasket will play against Oliveirense and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
