There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Levski (2-2) beat on the road one of their biggest challengers Montana 2003 (1-2) 82-77. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Montana 2003 won fourth quarter 23-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Juanita Ward (180-86, college: Syracuse, agency: Merit Sports) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 5 rebounds and forward Radoslava Bachvarova (183-87, college: VCU, agency: LBM Management) who added 20 points during the contest. Four Levski players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international forward Natalia Topalova-Shopova (186-80) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds and the former international center Dimana Makarieva (188-88) scored 24 points and 8 rebounds. Levski moved-up to fourth place. Montana 2003 at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with Rilski Sportist. Levski will play against Rilski Sportist (#6) in Samokov in the next round. Montana 2003 will play on the road against the league's leader Dunav 8806 in Ruse to get more than just one victory in their record.
