Dameligaen top team - SISU (7-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Vaerlose (3-4) 89-49. The game was mostly controlled by SISU. Vaerlose managed to win second period 14-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Vaerlose to just 5 points in third quarter. SISU dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Vaerlose's 28. SISU forced 26 Vaerlose turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Vaerlose's players. It was a quality performance for American center Stephanie Madden (182-88, college: Langston) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Charlotte Jorsboe (174-86) accounted for 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Four SISU players scored in double figures. American forward Jaimie McFarlin (180-89, college: Wash.-St.Louis) came up with 11 points and 9 rebounds and forward Alberte Dokkedal (186-91) added 12 points respectively for Vaerlose in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for SISU. Defending champion maintains first place with 7-0 record. Loser Vaerlose dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Horsens. SISU will meet Horsens (#4) on the road in the next round. Vaerlose will play against Falcon and hope to secure a win.
