Regular Season Round 7: Bayreuth - LTi 46ers 74-52

There was a minor upset when 14th ranked LTi 46ers (2-5) were smashed on the road by sixteenth ranked BBC Bayreuth (2-5) 74-52. The game was mostly controlled by BBC Bayreuth. LTi 46ers was better in fourth quarter 13-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded LTi 46ers 37-25 including 29 on the defensive glass. American guard Danny Gibson (180-84, college: S.Indiana, agency: Limelight Hoops) fired 19 points and 8 assists for the winners. Canadian-Haitian guard Osvaldo Jeanty (183-84, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 20 points. American swingman Maurice Jeffers (194-79, college: St.Louis) produced 12 points and the other American import guard Wayne Bernard (190-81, college: Davidson, agency: Interperformances) added 9 points respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. BBC Bayreuth moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with LTi 46ers and Fraport SKY. BBC Bayreuth's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Walter Tigers (#18) in Tuebingen.
