There was a surprise result in Istanbul where twelfth ranked Darussafaka (3-3) edged higher ranked Vestel (4-2) 67-64 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 67-64. The best player for the winners was forward Erdinc Balto (207-90) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Goekhan Sunter (196-80, agency: 1x1 Sports) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Four Darussafaka players scored in double figures. Darussafaka's coach Aziz Bekir used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Hakan Erol (200-83) who recorded 13 points and 5 rebounds and guard Serdar Yavuz (184-82) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively.
