There was an upset when higher ranked RSV Eintracht (5-4) lost to twelfth ranked Bayer Giants (3-6) in Leverkusen 73-91 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Bayer Giants. RSV Eintracht was better in fourth quarter 29-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. RSV Eintracht was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American forward Casey Robinson (198-87, college: Alaska-Anch.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Swingman Matthias Goddek (195-86) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Bayer Giants players scored in double figures. Bayer Giants' coach Achim Kuczmann allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Kellen Williams (194-84, college: E.Washington, agency: Dynamics Global Management) replied with 13 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Keoni Watson (178-84, college: Idaho, agency: Dynamics Global Management) added 12 points and 5 assists in the effort for RSV Eintracht. Bayer Giants moved-up to tenth place in Group North, which they share with ALBA Berlin II and Wolfenbuettel. Loser RSV Eintracht keeps the seventh position with four games lost. Bayer Giants will face higher ranked SC Rasta Vechta (#4) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
