Very important is a road loss of third ranked USC Heidelberg (5-3) against seventh ranked Gloria Giants (5-3) on Wednesday night. Visiting USC Heidelberg was defeated by Gloria Giants in a tough game in Duesseldorf 89-95. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of USC Heidelberg. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But USC Heidelberg won fourth quarter 36-33. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gloria Giants made 31-of-35 charity shots (88.6 percent) during the game. USC Heidelberg was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch.
