The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Delikatesas (8-3) in Vilnius on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by sixth ranked Perlas-MRU (7-4) 81-75. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 81-75. Perlas-MRU outrebounded Delikatesas 42-30 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Mantas Kazonas (202-89) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Tadas Padegimas (201-90) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Perlas-MRU's coach Mindaugas Sakalauskas used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Vidmantas Uzkuraitis (189-85) answered with 22 points and swingman Vytautas-Edvardas Pikalavicius (196-90) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Delikatesas. Five Perlas-MRU and four Delikatesas players scored in double figures. Perlas-MRU have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Zalgiris-Sabonio and Matinga-Juod. Delikatesas at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. They share it with Radviliskis. Perlas-MRU is looking forward to face bottom-ranked ABRO-Universitetas (#16) in Siauliai in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Delikatesas will play at home against Triobet (#8) in Jonava and is hoping to win this game.
