A very close game took place in Barreiro between Galitos-Tley and Electrico FC. Third ranked Galitos-Tley (3-1) got a very close home victory over one of their biggest challengers Electrico FC (2-2). Galitos-Tley managed to escape with a 3-point win 65-62 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Electrico FC. Electrico FC was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 8-point lead after three quarters before a 21-10 charge of Galitos-Tley, which allowed them to win the game. Forward Rui Quintino (196-83) fired 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Cape Verdean forward Denis Neves (197-78) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. Galitos-Tley's coach Francisco Edgard used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Tiago Pinto (183-88) produced 18 points and 6 rebounds and guard Joao Lanzinha (188-89) added 15 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Galitos-Tley have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 3-1 record behind leader Alges, which they share with Oliveirense. Loser Electrico FC dropped to the fifth place with two games lost. They share the position with Sangalhos and Fisica. Galitos-Tley will meet Povoa (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Electrico FC will play against Maia Basket (#12) and hope to secure a win.
