No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked ALBA Berlin (5-2) beat 16th ranked LTi 46ers (2-6) in Giessen 73-61 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by ALBA Berlin. LTi 46ers was better in fourth quarter 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard DaShaun Wood (185-85, college: Wright St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 5 assists. The other American import forward Derrick Allen (203-80, college: Mississippi, agency: Pro One Sports) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Bosnian power forward Elvir Ovcina (211-76, college: Syracuse, agency: Interperformances) replied with 15 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Barry Stewart (191-88, college: Mississippi St.) added 12 points in the effort for LTi 46ers. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. ALBA Berlin have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. LTi 46ers at the other side dropped to the fifteenth position with six games lost. ALBA Berlin will have a break next round. LTi 46ers will play on the road against TBB Trier (#12).
