Regular Season Round 8: Final Genclik - Vestel 75-87

The most important game in the last round took place in Bursa between third ranked Final Genclik (5-2) and eighth ranked Vestel (5-2) on Saturday night. Final Genclik was defeated by Vestel at home 75-87. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Final Genclik. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 54-39 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great shooting night for Vestel especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. Forward Hadi Ozdemir (203-83) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Justin Carter (193-87, college: Creighton, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Cyrus Tate (203-85, college: Iowa, agency: Edge Sports) replied with 11 points and 8 rebounds and forward Oguzhan Sungur (201-91) added 13 points in the effort for Final Genclik. Four Final Genclik players scored in double figures. Final Genclik's coach Ali Ozbay rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Vestel moved-up to third place, which they share with Final Genclik and Optimum TED. Vestel is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Orman Genc (#20) in Ankara in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Final Genclik will play on the road against TED Istanbul (#16) and is hoping to win this game.
