Regular Season Round 6: Mladost Zemun - Jedinstvo NB 82-77

B League top team - Mladost Zemun (5-0) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat sixth ranked Jedinstvo NB (3-3) 82-77. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 25-15 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Mladost Zemun outrebounded Jedinstvo NB 43-31 including 30 on the defensive glass. 30 personal fouls committed by Jedinstvo NB helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Lazar Rasic scored 26 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Nenad Banjanin (201-85, college: E.Michigan) chipped in 13 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four Mladost Zemun players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Vuk Pekovic (183-89) with 20 points (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and center Miljan Radenkovic (203-89) scored 6 points and 9 rebounds. Jedinstvo NB's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Mladost Zemun maintains first position with 5-0 record. Jedinstvo NB at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with 5 other teams. Mladost Zemun are looking forward to face Konstantin (#5) in Nis in the next round. Jedinstvo NB will play at home against Crnokosa in Kosjeric and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
