Rather expected game when 8th ranked Licher Baeren (4-5) was crushed on the road by fifth ranked Dragons Rhoendorf (5-3) 94-65 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Dragons Rhoendorf. Licher Baeren was better in second period 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Dragons Rhoendorf made 29-of-36 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game, while Licher Baeren only scored eleven points from the stripe. Dragons Rhoendorf forced 20 Licher Baeren turnovers. Licher Baeren was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Five Dragons Rhoendorf and four Licher Baeren players scored in double figures. Dragons Rhoendorf maintains fifth place in Group South with 5-3 record. Loser Licher Baeren dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. Dragons Rhoendorf will face TV 1862 Langen (#6) on the road in the next round. Licher Baeren will play against TSV Troester in Breitenguessbach and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
