Another interesting game for Turk Telekom (4-1) which played in Istanbul against 4th placed Fenerbahce Ulker (3-2). Fifth ranked Turk Telekom had an easy win 83-64. The game without a history. Turk Telekom led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 21-of-24 charity shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Turk Telekom outrebounded Fenerbahce Ulker 46-28 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. FYR Macedonian-American guard Darius Washington (188-85, college: Memphis) stepped up and scored 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and the former international power forward Mehmet Okur (210-79) chipped in 18 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). The former international center Oguz Savas (212-87) responded with 12 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) and American forward James Gist (205-86) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Fenerbahce Ulker's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Turk Telekom moved-up to third place, which they share with Galatasaray. Defending champion Fenerbahce Ulker dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Turk Telekom will play against Mersin (#9) in Akdeniz in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Fenerbahce Ulker will play on the road against Karsiyaka (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
