There was a minor upset in Allmendingen where 9th ranked Saar-Pfalz Braves (4-6) were defeated by twelfth ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule (4-6) 76-72 on Sunday. Saar-Pfalz Braves were trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 28-21 charge of Ehingen/Urspringschule, which allowed them to win the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American guard Virgil Matthews (188-83, college: Montana) fired 19 points and 4 assists for the winners. The other American import guard Garrett Williamson (196-88, college: St.Joseph's) chipped in 14 points and 4 assists. Ehingen/Urspringschule's coach Ralph Junge used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. British-Australian guard Lee Jeka (187-83, agency: Limelight Hoops) produced 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and Slovenian guard Jasmin Catovic (199-83) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Five Ehingen/Urspringschule and four Saar-Pfalz Braves players scored in double figures. Ehingen/Urspringschule moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Braves.
