Fifth ranked Dnipro (8-4) crushed at home 11th ranked Cherkasy (4-8) by 30 points 84-54, which is the biggest margin this round on Wednesday night. The game without a history. Dnipro led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Cherkasy's 24 and made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Cherkasy 36-21 including a 26-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a quality performance of international guard Steven Burtt (185-84, college: Iona) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 4 assists. The former international center Danylo Kozlov (206-82) helped adding 17 points. Dnipro's coach Denys Zhuravlov felt very confident that he used entire bench saving starting five for next games. FYR Macedonian guard Vojdan Stojanovski (193-87) responded with 11 points and American guard Willie Solomon (187-78, college: Clemson) scored 11 points. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Dnipro. They moved-up to third place, which they share with BC Donetsk. Loser Cherkasy dropped to the tenth position with eight games lost. Dnipro will face Ferro-ZNTU (#9) in Zaporozhye in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game.
