Regular Season Round 13: Zalgiris-Sabonio - Delikatesas 84-87

The most exciting game of round 13 in the NKL took place in Kaunas. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 3rd placed Zalgiris-Sabonio (8-5) to first ranked Delikatesas (10-3) 87-84 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Zalgiris-Sabonio. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-84. Guard Vidmantas Uzkuraitis (189-85) fired 24 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Guard Aivaras Kvedaravicius (184-88) chipped in 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Justas Tamulis (194-94) produced 18 points and 7 rebounds and forward Vaidas Kariniauskas (198-93) added 11 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Zalgiris-Sabonio players scored in double figures. Delikatesas maintains first place with 10-3 record, which they share with Radviliskis. Zalgiris-Sabonio at the other side keeps the third position with five games lost. They share it with Nafta Universitetas and LKKA-Atletas. Delikatesas is looking forward to face league's second-placed Radviliskis at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Zalgiris-Sabonio will play against ABRO-Universitetas in Siauliai and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
