The game between closely ranked teams ended with eleventh ranked Cherkasy's (4-8) road victory over 12th ranked DniproAzot (2-10) 96-71 on Friday. The game without a history. Cherkasy led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 61.5 percentage. Cherkasy looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Willie Solomon (187-78, college: Clemson) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Serbian power forward Miljan Pupovic (209-83, agency: 011 Sports) helped adding 15 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Cherkasy players scored in double figures. Canadian power forward Michael Fraser (203-84, college: Oklahoma Baptist, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds and Filipino-American point guard Stanley Pringle (184-87, college: Penn St.) scored 15 points and 4 assists. Cherkasy moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Mykolaiv. DniproAzot lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with ten games lost. Cherkasy will have a break next round. DniproAzot will play at home against the league's second-placed Azovmash (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
