Regular Season Round 14: Delikatesas - Radviliskis 97-100 OT

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Delikatesas (10-4) in Joniskis on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by Radviliskis (11-3) in overtime 100-97. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Delikatesas. It was a key game for the top position in the league as both teams had the same 10-3 record before this meeting. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Delikatesas won fourth quarter 25-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Delikatesas used huge pressure winning it 25-22 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 11-14. Radviliskis made 27-of-35 free shots (77.1 percent) during the game. 28 personal fouls committed by Delikatesas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Guard Tomas Rakauskas (184-81) orchestrated the victory by scoring 29 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Audrius Mineikis (201-77) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Guard Vidmantas Uzkuraitis (189-85) replied with 35 points (!!!) and 6 assists and guard Aivaras Kvedaravicius (184-88) added 19 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Delikatesas. Five Radviliskis and four Delikatesas players scored in double figures. Radviliskis have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Delikatesas at the other side dropped to the second place with four games lost. Radviliskis are looking forward to face S.Marciulionio (#14) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Delikatesas will play against LKKA-Atletas (#4) in Kaunas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
