Regular Season Round 11: Finke Baskets - ETB Wohnbau 86-89

A very interesting game took place in Paderborn. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 4th placed Webmoebel Baskets (6-4) to thirteenth ranked ETB Wohnbau (4-6) 89-86 on Saturday evening. The guests were ahead by 2 points but lost the second period ending it with a 12-point deficit before their 28-13 run, which allowed them to win the game. ETB Wohnbau dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Webmoebel Baskets' 40. It was an exceptional evening for forward Kevin Wysocki (198-87) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. American point guard Chris Alexander (186-83, college: Southern) accounted for 16 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Five ETB Wohnbau players scored in double figures. American guard Jefferson Mason (198-88, college: Minn.St.-Mankato, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) came up with 22 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import guard Jamar Diggs (187-88, college: Wofford) added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Webmoebel Baskets in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for ETB Wohnbau. They moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Braves. Webmoebel Baskets at the other side dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. ETB Wohnbau's next round opponent will be higher ranked Gloria Giants (#4) in Duesseldorf and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Webmoebel Baskets will play on the road against Cuxhaven BasCats and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
