Regular Season Round 9: TBB Trier - LTi 46ers 71-74 OT

LTi 46ers (3-6) outlasted TBB Trier (3-6) in overtime by three points 74-71. The game took place in Trier. But the guests from Giessen were better at the end. TBB Trier was ahead by 9 points after three quarters before a 24-15 charge of LTi 46ers, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 6-3. It was a good game for Nigerian-American forward Koko Archibong (202-81, college: Pennsylvania) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. American guard Barry Stewart (191-88, college: Mississippi St.) contributed with 19 points for the winners. The former international forward Philip Zwiener (198-85) answered with 11 points and 6 rebounds and American point guard Dru Joyce (183-85, college: Akron) added 13 points and 5 assists in the effort for TBB Trier. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. LTi 46ers moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with TBB Trier and Phoenix Hagen. TBB Trier lost third consecutive game. LTi 46ers' next round opponent will be league's leader Brose Baskets in Bamberg and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
