Regular Season Round 10: Ternopil - Pulsar 71-95

Bottom-ranked Ternopil-TNEU (0-9) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 95-71 loss to sixth ranked BC-93 Pulsar (5-4) in Ternopil. The game was mostly controlled by BC-93 Pulsar. Ternopil-TNEU was better in second period 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC-93 Pulsar forced 19 Ternopil-TNEU turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Ilya Shemosyuk (188-85) who helped to win the game recording 17 points. Power forward Sergei Miakinin (206-86) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Five BC-93 Pulsar players scored in double figures. BC-93 Pulsar's coach Mikhail Pereverziy felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Sergyi Teleshko (209-92) replied with 21 points and 7 rebounds and guard Oleksandr Lashenko (190-89) added 14 points in the effort for Ternopil-TNEU. BC-93 Pulsar moved-up to fifth place, which they share with BK Kremen. Ternopil-TNEU at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost. BC-93 Pulsar will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ternopil-TNEU will play again at home against BC-93 Pulsar (#5) in Rovno and hopes to get finally their first victory.
